Muddy Nature Soup: A Magical Outdoor Sensory Play Experience

May 2026

At our recent community gathering, children and families explored nature through imaginative sensory play during our Muddy Nature Soup activity. Using flowers, herbs, leaves, sticks, water, and other natural treasures, children created their own “soups,” potions, and magical mixtures while enjoying open-ended outdoor play. Families were invited to collect different textures, colors, and shapes from nature using our “Magical Ingredients” scavenger prompts. Children mixed their creations in pots and bowls, stirred with wooden spoons, and used their imagination to invent unique recipes inspired by the outdoors.

This activity encouraged:

-Creative and imaginative play

-Sensory exploration

-Nature connection and observation

-Fine motor skills and teamwork

-Calm, screen-free outdoor experiences

We loved watching children explore freely, share ideas, and turn simple natural materials into something magical. Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make the day so special. 🌿✨

Belly Dance Wellness Workshop

May 2026

As part of our commitment to supporting women’s wellness and community connection, Mothers Bloom Together hosted a belly dance workshop focused on movement, confidence-building, stress relief, and reconnecting with the body in a positive and supportive environment.

The workshop brought together women of different backgrounds and ages to participate in an uplifting experience that encouraged self-expression, physical activity, social connection, and emotional well-being. Participants engaged in guided movement exercises designed to promote confidence, mindfulness, and joy through dance.

Programs like this help reduce isolation, strengthen community bonds, and create accessible wellness opportunities for women who may not otherwise have access to supportive social spaces. At Mothers Bloom Together, we believe community-centered wellness activities play an important role in empowering women and fostering meaningful connections

🎨 You & Me Portrait Day

June 7, 2026 | Marine Park, Brooklyn

Our families came together for a unique parent-child portrait experience centered on connection, creativity, and appreciation.Children painted portraits of their mothers while moms painted portraits of their children. Participants were encouraged to look beyond appearances and reflect on the qualities that make each person special.

The highlight of the event was our Superpower Star Activity. Each child shared their mom’s superpower, and each mom shared a special strength she sees in her child. A star sticker was then placed on the portrait where that superpower “lives”—creating a meaningful keepsake and a lasting reminder of the love, admiration, and strengths they see in one another.
